That's right....one year away from the big 3-0! Or as Eric also says, "I will continue to celebrate the anniversary of my 29th birthday." I think he had a pretty good birthday. His birthday was on a Sunday so we had church that day and then came home and he started prepping food. I cleaned and napped (uggh that cold and flu season). Eventually I was awake and mobile enough to help him some more prior to our guests arriving. We had Brent, Fran, Alicia, Jeff, Harmony, Akiya and Jessica over, which to date is our biggest dinner party yet. We had so much fun. Eric's baked beans were a hit. Can I just tell you that my husband is in love with his dutch oven and it really does make some pretty good baked beans. We also had BBQed bacon wrapped sirloin, chicken, salad, sourdough baguette, green salad and a blueberry cheesecake (compliments of Fran).
On a sentimental side, this was the first "birthday" Eric and I got to share together so it was really special. It's not the same when you are wishing your significant other "Happy Birthday" over the phone. So it was a good day for both of us and I am so grateful for the companionship of marriage. It is truly so much fun!
