Tahoe with the Boys

Over the weekend, Eric had planned on going fishing with a friend. I decided last minute to go to Nevada beach at Lake Tahoe with some friends. The boys were great and I got three hours to take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy visiting. Once the babies got fussy, I headed back down the mountain. As a So Cal native, I miss beaches with soft sand and water warm enough to swim. You have to be pretty hearty to swim in an alpine lake. One really has to take advantage of these beautiful summer days because winter arrives again much too soon.

The water is so blue and the mountains so beautiful. The cell phone camera does not do it justice.

Abraham chilling on the beach towel. Lots of sunscreen and an umbrella for the kiddos.

Sleepy Winston fighting a nap. Abraham slept for a little while in his carrier and Winston had a quiet time. Basically a quiet time with Winston means he will quietly sit in his carrier with a blanket covering him until he decides he wants out. Occasionally he will fall asleep in these situations such as church or a visit to somebody's house. The outside and noise was much too interesting for him at that point so he sat on my lap.

Hopefully we will be doing more beach days together as a family before summer slips away again.
